The Virtual Telescope Project , based in Manciano, Italy, will facilitate tracking of the asteroid's trajectory.
Discovered by scientists on August 30, 2025, the asteroid's brightness slightly exceeds the thresholds of human vision, making it visible in certain images. At the time of discovery, it was more than 3 million kilometers from Earth.
The asteroid is traveling at over 45,000 kilometers per hour and measures between 17 and 38 meters in size. Calculations have determined that it will merely pass by Earth without posing any threat.
