Apple has announced the release of the MacBook Air M4 in March 2025. This update of the ultra-portable laptop is noted for its new pricing structure, being introduced at a lower cost compared to previous models.

The MacBook Air M4 comes in two versions, with 13-inch and 15-inch displays. The screens are "Liquid Retina" with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,664 pixels for the 13-inch model and 2,880 x 1,864 pixels for the 15-inch model. The maximum brightness is 500 nits. The 13-inch version weighs 1,240 grams, while the 15-inch version weighs 1,510 grams. The dimensions remain unchanged from the M3 version.

New color options include "Sky Blue," replacing the "Space Gray." Other available colors are "Midnight" (black), "Starlight" (gold), and Silver.

The MacBook Air M4 features the new M4 chip with 10 CPU cores and 10 GPU cores. Memory options begin at 16 GB of RAM, with additional configurations available at 24 GB and 32 GB. Storage options range from 256 GB to 2 TB.

The device can support up to two external displays while the internal display remains active. It includes a magnetic MagSafe charging port and two USB-C ports on the left side, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the right side. Wireless connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.3 and WiFi 6E. The camera has been upgraded to a 12 MP sensor.

The MacBook Air M4 offers significant battery life, with an estimated 18 hours of video playback, thanks to the efficiency of the Apple Silicon chip.

The 13-inch MacBook Air M4 is priced at €1,199, and the 15-inch version starts at €1,499. This pricing is €100 less than the previous M3 model released in 2024.

The MacBook Air M4 runs on macOS, known for its integration with the Apple ecosystem and pre-installed applications such as Mail and Keynote.
