French Tech Next40 2025 : onze nouveaux entrants rejoignent le cercle des scale-ups les plus prometteuses

## French Tech Next40 2025: Eleven New Entrants Join the Ranks of Promising Scale-ups

French Tech Next40 2025: Eleven New Entrants Join the Ranks of Promising Scale-ups

Each year, the French Tech Next40 program identifies forty companies that have the potential to become Europe's future technological leaders. In its sixth edition, eleven new companies join the list, highlighting the diversity of business models and the growing maturity of the French ecosystem.

The Next40 identifies companies combining economic performance with innovation capability. The 2025 selection showcases sectoral diversification: quantum, agtech, HR, mobile gaming, clean mobility. Criteria include proven growth and investor attractiveness. Selected companies receive enhanced support from the state for one year. All aim for technological leadership on a European scale.

Increased visibility with public buyers and large accounts. Facilitated access to government contacts through the Mission French Tech. Enhanced signaling effect to attract clients, partners, and investment funds. Requirement for transparency on ESG indicators, including carbon footprint and equality index. Strategic positioning on technological sovereignty issues for the coming decade.

Renewed List Reflecting Sectoral Changes

The new entries in the Next40 2025 demonstrate a balance between historical B2B tech players, new industrial champions, and startups from newer sectors like electric mobility and quantum technology. Selection criteria include a net revenue exceeding 100 million euros combined with an average annual growth of at least 15% over three years, or total fundraising between 2022 and 2025.

The 2025 cohort includes AGRYCO , ALICE & BOB , BREVO , CLUBFUNDING , DESCARTES UNDERWRITING , FLYING WHALES , GOJOB , HOMA , LEHIBOU , WORLDIA , and ZEPLUG .

These eleven new entrants confirm the broadening scope of the Next40: fintech, quantum, HR, gaming, clean mobility, aerial logistics, tourism, agriculture, insurance, and digital marketing. The presence of ALICE & BOB alongside GOJOB or WORLDIA illustrates the program's ability to include companies at very different technological and commercial stages, provided they demonstrate economic solidity and clear international ambition.

These companies join a program that offers them, for one year, enhanced support from the Mission French Tech, with privileged access to French Tech correspondents in the administration, visibility actions, international support, and networking opportunities with public buyers and large groups.

The selection of companies for the French Tech Next40 is based on a methodology centered around two main criteria: commercial performance and investor confidence. To be included in the ranking, a company must either have achieved a net revenue exceeding 100 million euros with an average annual growth of at least 15% over the last three years or be among those that raised the highest amounts between January 2022 and April 2025. This dual evaluation framework allows for the recognition of both measurable economic solidity and the ability to mobilize capital to support innovation. Additionally, candidate companies must provide a recent carbon assessment and publish their professional equality index or commit to an improvement process. This requirement reflects the intent to make the Next40 not only a performance indicator but also a lever for sustainable transformation across the French tech ecosystem.

By joining the Next40, these companies not only receive a strong signal sent to their clients, partners, and financiers but also become part of a collective dynamic that aims to foster the emergence of technological leaders on a European scale. In a context marked by the return of industrial, energy, and digital sovereignty issues, their trajectory will be closely monitored.
